This sample shows how to use the measurement widgets in 2D. The measurement widgets can also be used with all types of layers.

The straight distance between two or more points can be measured using the DistanceMeasurement2D widget. The widget displays the horizontal distance.

An area can be measured using the AreaMeasurement2D widget.

When the distance measurement is less than 100 km, or perimeter measurement is less than 100 km, the default mode is planar. Otherwise, the default mode is geodesic.
