This sample shows how to visualize a SceneLayer with Point geometries in a SceneView. A color visual variable is applied to each feature based on a numeric attribute in the SceneLayer.

This dataset contains more than 40,000 points representing World Airports. Points are retrieved on demand by the SceneLayer as the user navigates and zooms in/out around the scene.

Attributes used in data-driven visualizations with visual variables must be accessible to a SceneLayer's cache. Keeping the number of cached attributes to a minimum improves the performance of the SceneLayer. Therefore it is best practice to be judicious with the attributes you make available through the service cache. See the ArcGIS Pro documenation to learn how to configure cached attributes in a Scene Service.
